VVSA is a 501 (C3) tax exempt organization of volunteers who help any animals in need. VVSA lends live traps of all sizes to help capture lost animals, those in need of a new home, and we work with a wildlife rehabber to help wildlife survive. The photo above is moving one beaver to safety. Beavers are critical for the survival of our waterways. If your town does not have an animal control officer, call your county State Police Department and ask for the Fish & Wildlife Officer. All law enforcement has the ability and obligation to investigate reports of animal abuse, neglect and abandonment, as any other criminal offense. Call your local humane society and ask if they can help with an investigation, too. |
